Mr. Mohammed Yayangida Umar, CRM is an Executive Partner Green Mount Consulting. He retired as Director Bank Examination Department of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC). He has served as a Member of various Committees both within and outside the NDIC. Umar is a Subject-Matter-Expert in Risk Management, Banking Supervision and Examination, Deposit Insurance System (DIS), Bank Failure Resolution, Deposit Analysis, and Other Financial and Economic Matters. Mr. M. Y. Umar is a Fellow of the Institute of Loans and Risk Management of Nigeria (ILRM), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (ICPAN), and the Institute of Customer Service and Trade Management (ICSTM) of Nigeria. He is also a Member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and a Senior Associate Member of Risk Management Association of Nigeria (RMAN). He holds an M. Sc. in Banking and Finance from Bayero University, Kano, and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Furthermore, Umar has attended 42 courses locally and 14 courses internationally, respectively as of February 2018.
