Chinwe Egwim is a seasoned Economist with experience in macro, financial, development, gender and behavioral economics. She possesses a remarkable blend of expertise, advocacy, and impact. Her achievements, as an economist, a leader in gender empowerment and grassroots initiatives, highlight her multifaceted impact. She is currently the Chief Economist and Head of Economic Research and Intelligence at Coronation Merchant Bank with currently over 800 published economic notes. Her diverse corporate experience includes short and long-term forecasting, predictive analysis, macroeconomic research, market outlooks, policy frameworks, strategic planning, government relations and stakeholder engagement. Chinwe provides valuable perspectives for corporate boards and contributes to enhancing structures that produce optimal business results. Prior to joining Coronation Merchant Bank, she worked at FBNQuest Merchant Bank, FBN Capital, Fitch Ratings Milan and the Central Bank of Nigeria. Her contributions have also supported high-level projects driven by global development organisations and leading female empowerment NGOs. She has been appointed as a National Consultant by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa- In this role, she successfully led a services trade project on global and regional value chains. Chinwe was recently appointed as a member of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee. The committee was set up by President Bola Tinubu to review and redesign Nigeria�s fiscal system with respect to revenue mobilization, quality of government spending and sustainable debt management. Her efforts to simplify complex economic concepts through her book "Understanding Economic Jargon" demonstrate her commitment to making economics accessible to a wider audience. The book has ranked as a bestseller under education leadership on Amazon. Chinwe is frequently pulled in to give expert advice on economic trends across print and visual media. She was recognized as one of the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) 100 under 40 in support of the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent in 2020; Awarded �Positive Role Model � West Africa� at the 2021 Accenture Gender Mainstreaming Awards and; Nominated in the X-factor Category by the Chattered Institute of Bankers in Nigeria in 2021 which recognizes a leading female banker breaking the glass ceiling and inspiring a more gender inclusive industry.
