With an impressive thirty-four years of experience, Amal has served in various capacities at the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), where she has played pivotal roles in bank examination; bank investigation and liquidation, internal audit, and enterprise risk management. Her deep understanding of the financial sector has been instrumental in ensuring the stability and security of the banking system. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Enterprise Risk Management Department at NDIC, where her leadership and strategic insights have been key in shaping effective risk management framework and risk culture within the institution. Her commitment to professional development is evident through her numerous certifications and affiliations. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria, an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Nigeria, and a Fellow Association of Risk Management Professionals, demonstrating her expertise in managing risks within the financial sector. On the International stage, she holds a Certificate in Risk Governance from the DCRO, the foremost global institute for Directors and Chief Risk Officers based in the United States. Amal is also a Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 27001: Information Security Management System, a certification she obtained in 2018, reflecting her proficiency in information security and risk controls. She further strengthened her expertise in financial oversight and risk assurance by earning a Certificate in Internal Auditing from the Institute of Internal Auditing in 2017.
