The CRMI-NIGERIA Risk Management Awards honour individuals, institutions and organisations setting the standard for sound risk management across Nigeria and beyond. Awards are organised into three categories: Category A — Institutional Awards, Category B — Risk Management Excellence Awards, and Category C — Special Recognition Awards. Nominations are reviewed and judged by an independent panel. Review each category below and submit your nomination with the required supporting documents. Recognises an institutional leader who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to advancing risk-management advocacy, strengthening awareness and promoting the integration of risk-based thinking into governance, policy and institutional practice. It celebrates leadership that has consistently driven conversations, influenced decisions and elevated the profile of risk management within organisations, sectors or national development frameworks.
Institutional Leadership in Risk Advocacy Award
Recognises an institutional leader who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to advancing risk-management advocacy, strengthening awareness and promoting the integration of risk-based thinking into governance, policy and institutional practice. It celebrates leadership that has consistently driven conversations, influenced decisions and elevated the profile of risk management within organisations, sectors or national development frameworks.
Nominees must:
- Be a professional, institutional leader or key stakeholder in risk management or a related field
- Have demonstrated active involvement in risk advocacy, education or policy influence
- Have contributed meaningfully to promoting risk awareness within an organisation, sector or public space
- Show evidence of leadership in initiatives that strengthen risk culture, governance or compliance
- Have a credible track record of professional integrity and ethical leadership
- Institutional membership commitment
- Staff capacity development in risk management
- Professional certification and staff registration
- Participation in Institute working groups
- Sponsorship and support for risk-management events
- Support for risk-management legislation and advocacy
- Council Members
- Fellows and Members of the Institute
- Partner organisations, professional bodies and industry stakeholders
Self-nominations and third-party nominations are both accepted. All entries undergo a multi-stage independent evaluation.
